Apart from participating in international research programs on composite materials, FiReCo's internal R&D focuses on closed mould processing and high temperature applications. Our in-house facilities include:

Pressure injection equipment for Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM).
Vacuum injection and vacuum bagging equipment. Hydraulic press for compression moulding.
Heated laminating tables and computer controlled post-curing.
Furnace for fire resistance testing to any standard or non-standard fire curve (maximum 1200°C).

Combined with the material and processing knowledge, these facilities provide a wide range of possibilities:

Representative sample production for verification of processing and mechanical properties - important input to the Engineering Services.
Development, tooling and production of prototypes.
Material-, tooling- and process specification for full scale production.
EPC contracts.
