Naval ships

Naval ships are defined as different types of military ships or boats used by national navies around the world. For FiReCo a close cooperation with the Royal Norwegian Navy and other NATO  Naval forces (US Navy) as well as Sweden (alone or as participant in acquisition programs with partners like ship yards (Umoe Mandal and SAAB Kockums) , research institutes (FFI) and classification companies (DNV GL)).

FiReCo has participated in many different vessel acquisition programs and has been involved in every new build program for the Royal Norwegian Navy since late 1980ies. These involvements have been in many different phases: Preliminary design and feasibility studies, contractual design/building specs, detailed design, production specifications, design reviews and inspection during construction, mid-life updates/design life evaluations, rebuilding programs, and in service structural evaluations and load assessments (structural monitoring).  All this is possible because of the ability to perform all types of relevant advanced analysis and calculations, material knowhow and competence related to building procedures.

FiReCo has been involved on both the Naval Authority side and on the yard side, depending of the phase in the projects, and has a large group of external cooperating experts and companies to assist. Consequently, FiReCo can be seen as the lead of a large cluster of knowledge and experience.

FiReCo have for the third time in a row proudly been awarded an important frame contract with the Royal Norwegian Navy.

FiReCo wish to thank the following companies for the kind permission to use their pictures: Den kongelige norske marine, Umoe Mandal, Hareide design mill, Goldfish, Norsafe and SAAB Kockums.
